Friday, May 18th is Half Price day at the Marion Library book sale, nothing over 50 cents from 10 am to 5 pm! Saturday, May 19th you can fill a bag for only a dollar from 11 am till 2 pm, no limit!

05-24-12 Free Computer Class: Have you ever tried to print something from your computer, but it just didn’t print out the way it looked on the screen? Or perhaps you’d like to know how to scan a photo in order to preserve it? Join Steve for a free class called “Basic Printing and Scanning Tips” this Thursday, May 24th in the Meeting Room of the Marion Library. Space is limited, so please call Steve at 652-3858 to sign up. 3:00 pm
05-26-12 & 05-28-12 Holiday Closing: The Library will be closed Saturday, May 26th and Monday, May 28th for Memorial Day. No fines are charged for days the library is closed. We will reopen on Tuesday at 10:00 am on our regular schedule. And don’t forget to check out the books we have on display celebrating heroic veterans of our country’s armed services.
05-22-12 Books for Babies: Ms. Allison offers a special story time for babies and toddlers each Tuesday morning at 11:00 am at the Marion Library, featuring delightful stories & songs. It’s never too early to bring your little ones to the library to introduce them to the joy of reading! “Goodnight Moon” will be the theme on Tuesday, May 22nd. 11:00 am
05-23-12 Teen Craft Time: Teens are invited for a cool craft time on Wednesday, May 23rd at 4:00 pm at the Marion Library. Summertime is almost here, so Ms. Linda is going to be showing the teens how to make beautiful seashell mobiles with mixed media. Snacks will be served, and Ms. Linda asks that you call 652-3858 to let her know you’re coming so she’ll be sure to have enough for everyone. And if anyone has extra beads, buttons or seashells to donate, they would be welcome for this and future programs! 4:00 pm
05-23-12 & 05-24-12 Marion and Old Fort Story Times: ”Goodnight Moon” will be the theme at Story Time this coming week. Ms. Allison will have wonderful stories, songs and more, so come to the Old Fort Library on Wednesday, May 23rd at 10:00 am & 11:00 am, and to the Marion Library at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 24th. 10:00 am
05-23-12 Old Fort Craft Time: Ms. Allison invites kids of all ages to join her on Wednesday, May 23rd at 4:00 pm for a special Old Fort Craft Time. The program will be held in the conference room of the Old Fort Library at 65 East Mitchell Street. The kids will be making Sparkly Spring Mobiles! 4:00 pm
